I saw a fragment of the some old painting, only meadow with river. I used this fragment like inspiration for a new artwork.

Bloody Honor

Cover illustration for the book named "Bloody honor" - anthology of historic fantasy stories. I didn't use a blood, because I needed to create a certain impression of purity and holiness. But you can be sure that blood was everywhere :)
